Hello Guys,
I am trying to write a security rule that can restrict certain apps to be displayed in the stream. [Sub stream level access]
After wandering around the web, i can say this. It can be achieved using custom properties but i dont want to use custom properties.
I also learned that creating group is another solution to achieve this.
So here if advance users logins he should see all the apps and if user 3 logins he should able to see only App1, App2, and App4.
Please throw some wisdom of your experience.
I want to achieve this without using custom properties if it is possible.
Thank you
So you can create any number of groups on the UDC layer to bring in attribute information into Qlik?
@Levi_Turner no, i cant.
Also, I thing creating multiple groups on the UDC layer is not efficient way of solving this problem.
So insofar as you have metadata about users, you simply have UserDirectory\UserId? There's no meta-data from elsewhere to distinguish between Advanced user and user2?
You certainly could use the user's ID but this would entail a security rule per app, maybe a few less given there are "common" apps.
