Hi to all ,
I need to put in filter Year_Month one selected value but not from top or bottom of the list
I manage to sort list to be like this :
As far as I understood one selected value always take first value ,
But when I turn one selected value option the value in the field becomes Jan 2020 instead Nov 2021 as expected
Any advice?
Hello,
This is working as designed! According to the official "Always one selected value" [1], documentation it is stated that "The Always one selected value defaults to the first entry in the field", as you have also correctly noticed. If you choose a different value and then refresh the app, or if you close the app and re-open it, you will notice that the default value always moves back to the first value in the dataset.
If you would like to have a different default selected value, then you can apply the selection on the actions section of your sheet. For example:
1. I have the following dataset:
2. I have set the "Always one selected value" and the result is:
As you can see the first date is selected and if I re-open the app or refresh the page, it will always select this value no matter which different value I choose.
3. To have it select a different value, you can edit the sheet
4. And you will get Actions as the last option.
5. Under Actions, you should click on "Add action"
6. Choose a name such as "Select Value"
7. For action choose "Select values in a field"
8. For Field select "Year_Month"
9. For Value add the expression with the value that you want to be the default one: ='Jul 2015'
10. Now whenever I open this sheet or I refresh the app or re-open it, I have the following outcome:
As you can see the Jul 2015 is selected instead of the Apr 2015.
I hope that this information was helpful. In case I have misunderstood the use case scenario, please elaborate in details by providing additional information. However, if it has helped you resolve the issue, please mark it as accepted solution to give further visibility to other community members.
