Section Access

Hello,

We currently use section access based on zip code to restrict our sales reps from certain data. We are curious if there is a way to 'turn off' section access for one visualization on one sheet specifically. The rest of the app would remain restricted as it is now, we want to allow them to compare themselves to the company as a whole for only the one visualization.

Thanks

With a classical section access it's not possible because like already mentioned there aren't those data anymore after the reduction happens. This means you need to load these data twice - one time regularly and with the needed granularity and one time with a higher aggregation only those fields which are needed to get the wanted data and to link them to the normal data without running into the reduction.

The following has some similarities to the above but is probably a bit more complex:

Mask or de-identify data for certain users using S... - Qlik Community - 1496092

If your section access is not really intended to ensure confidential data else as a kind of usability you may also remove it and controlling all views with: osuser().

There is not a way to turn off section access for specific objects, as far as I know. My understanding is that Section Access reduces the data when the user logs in, so it's not actually there to be used in objects.
