UI Design and Qlik Sense

Hi at all,
Qlik Sense sheets are made up of grids.
I am a designer and I would like to ask you if there are the exact measurements of the internal grids.
By preparing mockups and passing the design to the developers, I would need to know the size of the grids to orient myself in the design.
We don't currently use mashups so I need to work with the grid and its measurements.

Hello,

I am not 100% sure that I understood exactly what are you looking for, however I hope that my input provides you with enough information to proceed further.

I believe that the grid size doesn't have exact dimensions as the entire sheet has to be responsive for various screen sizes and window sizes. You can enable the Developers Console (e.g. in Chrome you can hit the F12 and it will show up), where you can investigate the various objects on the sheet or the sheet itself to get the idea of which dimensions are used and how the data is generated on the UI.

For example you can see here:

IMAGE

The size of the view is much smaller so the entire grid is much smaller as well. Or you can also see:

The size of the view gets bigger so the entire grid gets bigger as well.

However, you have to also keep in mind that the sheet's properties can be customized, so you can change the details such as:

  • Grid spacing to Wide | Medium | Narrow
  • Sheet size to Responsive | Custom
  • Width (px) or Height (px) to specific amount

Therefore, those configurations will also affect the size of the grid.

As I have mentioned above, this might not be the exact answer that you were looking for, but hopefully it can help you get on the right path. In case this was helpful, please mark it as accepted solution, to give further visibility to other community members.
