Yes, telemetrics data is being sent unless you have a paid license (See the EULA).
They promised not to store or send confidential information.
You can acquire a license by authenticating against an enterprise server (on premise or in the cloud).

to let qlik know how many are using the qliksense through login then can understand how many downloads happen
