Dropbox app token authorisation

Hello everyone,

I am trying to add a Dropbox connection to Qlik Sense Saas.

I only want to expose a specific Dropbox folder to Qlik.

I have created a Dropbox App and have the token

When I try to create a new Dropbox connection in Qlik, I cannot verify the token.

I think Qlik only expects the authentication code in that field but if that is the case, where should I enter the app token?

Thanks in advance,
Panagiotis

Hi @pdimitrakis

Normally I just open the dropbox connection (In Qlik)

Click > Authenticate > This will prompt you for a username / password for Dropbox. Once that is done you should get a verification code that you can paste in the box and click verify.

Hi Jandre,

Thanks for your reply.
I have tried this already and it works but this gives Qlik full access to the Dropbox folder structure.

What I am trying to do is give Qlik access only to one folder, i.e. qlik_files, in the Dropbox account.
What I have already discovered is that Dropbox offers the ability to create an "app" with limited access to one folder. The "app" is kind of a user account that has a unique token to authenticate.

My final goal is to have one Dropbox account and multiple Qlik users and each user has access only to the folder I have given him access to.

Regards,

Panagiotis
