I'm learning SQL, and I'm having trouble understanding file storage when it comes to relational databases. The mistake I'm making is reasoning in terms of Windows applications and their file formats. For example, I can open .xlsx in Excel, and also in LibreOffice.
But, how are sheets or databases created inside MySQL stored? Are they stored in a single file or across multiple files? Can I open a database in PostgreSQL, that was created with MySQL?
