Hi,
Since a few days I'm having the following problem:
When I open the "preview" of a QVD file using the Qlik data gateway I'm getting the following error
I've checked and the account I use is able to reach the file and the file exist.
When I press test connection, I'm getting the message "connection succeed".
When i use the same connector and code for this file (in an app i've previously built), I'm also able to reload the app (and load in this data).
The only "strange" thing i've noticed, is that in my error message I'm getting 2 pairs of Curly brackets instead of 1.
Is there a way to solve this problem?
HI @lb_1993 ,
I would recommend upgrading to the latest version, and if the issue persists, please open a Support request.
@lb_1993 did you open a ticket with Qlik for this? I am about to, as we just experienced the same issue. During my testing I found that I could preview QVD's under 40KB without issue. Jumping to my next set of qvds in the same folder, which are 80KB or higher, I get the error. So based on that, it seems to be size related.
I did find that it doesn't impact the actual pulling of the data. I tested doing a select * load since I didn't know the fields and had zero issues. So, it is just the preview that is broken.
Hi @jeremyseipel ,
We just tested with QVDs of sizes 20KB, 30KB, 630KB, and 3MB, and had no issues while previewing in QDG 1.7.6.
Could you please let me know your Qlik Data Gateway version and when the issue started?
May I ask if your issue has been resolved?
Thanks!
@jeremyseipel
I didn't open an official ticket yet and it didn't get solved either
@Rakesh_HB
in our case we're currently using version: 1.7.1 of the data gateway (and i it stopped working around the 10th of July)
it's also not only limited to a .QVD file, the .csv preview doesn't work either (same error), but for excel files or connections to a database (using the same gateway) everything works fine.

the upgrade to 1.7.6 did the job for us, now we're able to preview our flat and QVD files again! Thanks for the tip.
