Qlik Cloud connection error: Internal error. (Connector error: Protocol message contained a tag with an invalid wire type.)

Hello everybody,

One of my customer has an issue during the ETL app reload in Qlik Cloud.

It connects succesfully to SQL via Qlik Data Gateway (version 1.7.12). 

Then after some "select *" correctly completed, the following error occours:

20260331T051004.239+0000 0227 select * from [...]
20260331T051014.479+0000 Error: Internal error. (Connector error: Protocol message contained a tag with an invalid wire type.)
20260331T051014.480+0000 Execution Failed
20260331T051014.552+0000 Execution finished.

I'm not able to find out information about this kind of error.

is there anyone that already faced it or somithing similar and can suggest test\checks?

What connector type is being used — the native SQL Server connector, or ODBC via Direct Access? And do you know what data types are in the failing table?
