Qlik Sense Cloud Performance

Good Day everyone.

Are there Qlik users in South Africa using Qlik Sense cloud who for the last +/- month have been experiencing performance issues? I have 2 clients experiencing issues and I am trying to determine if their issues are "local" or if it could possibly be tenant related on the cloud.

Would it be safe to assume that all South African Qlik Sense cloud-based organizations are hosted in the same cloud.

Any advice or feedback from others in South Africa with performance issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

Hi,

Do you experiment network related issues, or clearly calculation issues ?
As far as I know, between all tenant region, there is no difference regarding calculation performances.

Nevertheless, you can see some slowdown in network (and so response time) if your tenant is deployed in a distant region.
Available regions are: US, EU, UK (Irelande), DE, Asia Pacific Japan, Sindey, Singapore.
In one of my preceding mission, our tenant was in Ireland, and users from Asia have met slowdown issue in terms of response time

Kind regards

Thank You for your feedback, much appreciated. here's how the clients have described their performance issue. I am aware that they need to provide a lot more context to help resolve the issue such as the frequency of the issue, does it affect all users, All models or only a specific model. Have there been changes to the model recently. I believe all users are impacted no matter which model they open.

Clients' initial response: "When selecting a filter or clicking on a chart, the charts get greyed out for about 8 seconds on the first click. Thereafter selecting a single filter takes 4 to 5 seconds for the charts to refresh, In Power BI with similar requirements, we get sub-second response times. Is there a setting or something that needs to be optimized by Qlik?

Thank You

Hi,

The customer description can be related to network issue:

Request was send to Qlik Engine, but during the time between request send from client and the answer from the server, Qlik Cloud display greyed values, whatever the engine calculation

In wich region the tenant is ?

Kind regards

Hi there, The Client tenant is in the EU. and we are in South Africa. We are setting up the Qlik App analyzer on their site and will check the settings and monitor the performance. I will provide feedback once the technical guys are done with their investigation.

Thank You
