I have run into an issue with users that have set up alerts from the Cloud.
The issue appears to be related to going from Classic Outlook to the new Outlook version required by Windows 11. What happens is the link to the dashboard in the Alert email(s) is now broken.
We have a work around, but the users are extremely interested in a fix. Has anyone found one?
Please note, sending a broken link to the user(s) to get them to log into the Qlik Analytics and click on the notification bell does work, but again, the users would like to use the link that had been working.
Also note, our IT department was able to manually manipulate the link to make it work, but obviously we don't want a manual solution. I did learn that the classic outlook uses Microsoft's HTML but the new one might be using something called Chromium. What I don't know is how to get this information to Qlik to someone who would be interested or able in fixing this feature.
My thought is more people use Microsoft than Qlik and this is Qlik functionality so they need to fix it or remove it.
For now I'm just a cautionary tale.
Please raise a support ticket about this issue. Probably Qlik is already working on a fix.
Our partners have, but it's not going very fast. I thought maybe someone else already had the answer. My assumption is until more people are on the new Outlook it's probably not a high priority, but I also figure with all the push to go to the Cloud it's only fair to warn the Prem users about the drawbacks. It's been really hard when the users are excited about something and it works for a few weeks then breaks :(. Thanks though, we'll keep asking.
