Can not delete corrupt DB connection

I have just downloaded Talend Open Studio for Data Quality (6.4.1.20170623_1246)

I created a DB connection

When I try to open the connection I receive the following:

"The file myconnection_0.1.item cannot be read. it may be corrupted. Suggested fix: delete it."

When I try to delete (right click->Delete) I receive the following:

"The DB connection is locked, so you can't delete it. If this object is opened, you must close it before deletion."

Anyone encounter this issue before? Suggestions on how to resolve?

Thanks

DB connection locked only occur if you open Database connection panel, check if you left the panel open in the background. And also restart the studio it will unlock all the metadata which are locked.

Let me know if it is working or not

Thanks for the reply, no luck.

I have restarted the studio several times and the issues remains.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Hello,

It seems the files of Talend Studio are corrupted. On which talend build version you got this issue?

Are you able to create a new metadata connection in your current studio?

Best regards

Sabrina

Sorry Sabrina, I didn't answer your other question.

Yes I can create another metadata connection however when I try to open I receive the corrupted message again (see attached screen shot)

It isn't locked though so I can delete.

I should point out that I am using jTDS to establish Windows Authentication connections, here is the connection string I am using.

jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://servername0683p000009MAB6.pngort/DB;instance=instancename;useNTLMv2=true;domain=domainname

Connections Check successfully

So it seems that every connection I establish at this point is corrupt

Thanks to all for the help,

Mark
