How to validate Canada Addresses?

I am trying to check if the canada addresses in my data are valid or not. Eventually I might want to standardise them but I am just not sure how to proceed. I tried the Data Quality tool and all I see is the US zip code validation and few more countries, however, nothing related to Canada.

Any thoughts/ pointers?

Hello,

Please have a look at this component TalendHelpCenter:tAddressRowCloud with a scenario about:TalendHelpCenter: Scenario:  Parsing addresses against reference data in the Cloud

It verifies and formats international addresses in the Cloud by using online services.

Best regards

Sabrina

Looks like I'll have to pay to use the online cloud. I also looked at the Melissa integration and found it to be quite impressive but considering that the data I've is pretty small (around 1000 records), I am not too keen on purchasing anything. Isn't there any open source way to achieve that functionality?

Hi,

Following are the authorized suppliers from Canada Post website apart from direct Data Management Services of Canada Post.

https://www.canadapost.ca/web/en/kb/details.page?article=find_recognized_addr&cattype=kb&cat=address...

One another reason which I could think is for not having an open directory is due to data privacy factors. An open directory of all Canadian addresses can be used for fraudulent activities.

If the answer has helped you, could you please mark the topic as closed? Kudos are also welcome 🙂

Warm Regards,
