Do invalid Dimensions, Fields and Measures slow the app down and take up space? I counted over ~200 invalid Dimensions, Fields and Measures. Our linked data app went through an update changing names of these (mostly changing a word or adding a _ between words. They have yet to remove the invalid ones and the app has slowed and currently no plan to remove them. Is this a cause for concern?
In my experience, "invalid" master Dimensions and Measures (referencing incorrect fieldnames) don't have significant performance impact. They can slow things down a bit at startup, not because they are invalid but because more takes longer.
Unused fields on the other hand, do impact the app performance, as they make the memory footprint larger than necessary.
