Max Length for Free Text Fields in TDS

What is the max length if the field in TDS is configured as Text data type without inputting min and max acceptable length?

The backend storage for data stewardship tasks is MongoDB and as such, the text can be of any length. The UI experience may not be pleasant for long text fields though! What is your use case?
