Synchronize Semantic Types in Data Prep with Regex in DQ?

I am working with a customer that are using DQ and Data Prep and they have some questions regarding Semantic Types and Regular Expressions.
The profiling perspective in Data Studio has predefined, or allows one to create, Regular Expressions
In Data Prep, Regex are in Semantic Types that again are either predefined on can be created.
Is there an automated way to synchronize these two? The concern here is that the same information will need to be maintained in two different locations and that could cause issues. Is there a way to link these two pieces of information so when one is updated, then the other will be updated automatically.
From a technical standpoint, there is no way to synchronise the semantic types hosted in the Dictionary Service (used by TDP/TDS) and the Studio itself. FYI, we plan to continue our Dictionary Service story by integrating it to Data Catalog and Data Streams further in 2019.
Regarding the Studio, that kind of integration is not likely to be done in the next 18 months.
