What's the right Talend Open Studio product for me?

I hope I'm using the correct forum to request help on this matter!.
I'm working in a small airline, and transferring data related to aircraft maintenance task performance (A/C reg., date performed, task type) from one national authority registration (EI-) to another (G-).
Our maintenance information software (MIS) support has a data transfer module which allows this, I can export the task performance history on EI-, as an .xlsx file, change it to a .prn file and manipulate the spreadsheet to the correct columns to import data. I've done this before , however there is now a requirement to have a blank column with width of '1000'.
As you may know, Excel's column width is limited to 255.
MIS support recommended using Talend Open Studio,to create a structure excel file but didn't recommend which tool for 'date integration, big data or ESB'. I'd be hoping to use a free software or trial, I need to do this as a once-off.
I presume it's the first option. Would anyone here know what tool is most suited to my request?
They also said a VBA Macro could do this but I'm not sure.
