How to import on-premise Postgres database schema in talend cloud data catalog?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on setting up Talend Cloud Data Catalog and need guidance on importing the schema from an on-premise PostgreSQL database. Here are the specific details of my setup and what I've tried so far:

  • On-Premise PostgreSQL Database Version: [15.X]
  • Steps Taken:
Login Talend Cloud Data Catalog successfully.
    Configured a PostgreSQL JDBC driver.
Created a connection to my on-premise PostgreSQL database in Talend Cloud Data Catalog.

Issue: I'm unsure of the exact steps or best practices to follow within Talend Cloud Data Catalog to import the schema from my PostgreSQL database. Specifically, I want to ensure that tables, columns, relationships, and other metadata are accurately captured.

Referring to the site mentioned below, I have followed all the steps to import schemas, but I am still unable to import them correctly.

Questions:

  1. What is the recommended process for importing the schema from an on-premise PostgreSQL database into Talend Cloud Data Catalog?
  2. Are there any specific configurations or settings I should be aware of to ensure a successful schema import?

Any guidance, tips, or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
