Talend Data Catalog Edit Connection

I am new with Talend Data Catalog. I brought 3 metadata from snowflake database. The "edit connection" is greyed out under the Architecture Diagram. Does anyone have same issue? Thank you!

Always make sure to test the behavior with the latest MIMM & MIMB patches applied to TDC & harvesting agents and if the issue still exists reach out to Talend support with relevant screenshots and import logs with debug level enabled from Manage -> System.

Hello,

Hope so you are doing well , I have seen your issue have some suggestion might be helpful so let see

here are a few general suggestions that might help:

Make sure you have the necessary permissions to edit the connection in question. If you're not sure, check with your system administrator or database administrator.

Try refreshing your browser or clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes, technical issues can prevent certain features from working properly.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the support team for the software or tool you're using. They may be able to provide more specific guidance or troubleshoot the issue with you.

If you're working in a shared environment, it's possible that another user may have the connection currently open, which would prevent you from editing it. In this case, you may need to coordinate with the other user or wait until they're finished before you can edit the connection.

Please let me know it is helpful or so share your feedback at www.benefitscal.org

To edit a connection in Talend Data Catalog, you can follow these general steps:

  1. Log in to your Talend Data Catalog account.
  2. Navigate to the "Connections" section or a similar area where you manage your data connections. The exact location and terminology may vary depending on the version of Talend Data Catalog you are using.
  3. Locate the connection you want to edit and select it. This will typically display the details and properties of the connection.
  4. Look for an "Edit" or "Modify" button or option, and click on it. This should allow you to make changes to the connection settings.
  5. Update the desired properties or parameters of the connection. This could include the connection name, hostname, port, username, password, or any other relevant information depending on the type of connection you are editing.
  6. Once you have made the necessary changes, review them to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  7. Save or apply the changes to update the connection with the edited settings. The interface may provide a "Save," "Apply," or "Update" button for this purpose.
  8. After saving the changes, it's recommended to test the connection to ensure that it is working as expected. This can help verify that the edited connection is functioning properly.
