Add columns to output in tMap when schema type is repository

Hello,

can anyone please advise what would be the best way to add new columns in a tmap component, if the output link type is defined as repository?

I have the case that the input table in tmap component got updated via metadata update (the datasource got new columns). Hence the new columns appear in tmap component. But if i try to drag & drop to the output link, it doesn't allow me to do that.

The only two options i know of are:

1) Change schema-type to built-in, then drag & drop is allowed again. Run the job, update metadata of target table and again switch back to tmap to define the repository object again.

2) Add the columns on database level and then update talend metadata object. But this is very time-consuming, if multiple new columns gets added.

Hopefully I'm missing something and someone can explain the best way to handle this case.

Thanks!

Surely you just need to update Repository schema metadata referenced in the output connection to also have the additional columns, and then select "Automap" in the tMap component?

Thanks
