Importing Excel file in metadata not working

Hello,

I would like to import an Excel file in Metadata. 

It works until I reach third step with preview. At this moment, preview does not work. 

It tells me encoding is UTF-8. 

Here's the error message:

Error Message: The import routines cannot be resolved

Preview error. Some settings must be changed.

Note: Preview errors are generally due to a wrong encoding setting.

I have Talend Open Studio for Data Integration version 7.2.1.

JAVA_HOME system variable is configured as:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_261

and PATH is configured as:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\OpenSSH\;%JAVA_HOME%\bin

Hi,

Are you sure that file extension is set correctly? So if its an XLS or XLSX its set accordingly?

Hello! Yes, I just installed the version 7.3.1 and the problem is no longer happening. Thank you!
