TOS DI getting hanged particularly on tOracleinput---->Advance settings

Hello,

Talend open studio is going into "Not Responding" when clicked on Advance settings of tOracleinput component.

It takes lot of time (depends sometimes 10 minutes / 15 minutes or more that that too) to open the Advance settings.

I am using Talend Open Studio DI 7.3 on Windows server 2012 R2.

Please look at the attached screenshot.

So far I have got one of the solution but not working which is uncommenting the local host entry from the hosts file.

Can anyone let me know what is obstructing the application or some configurations to be changed.

Thanks

Hi

What is your JDK version? I have tried to click the advanced settings of tOracleInput, it takes a little time to open it for the first time, however, the second time it opens quickly.

BTW, I am using v7.3.1 on Windows 10.

@Shicong Hong

I have installed jdk-11.0.8

Yes, at first it takes time. Then it works fine.

But after restarting the application it again takes time.

How much memory is available on your machine? Have a try to allocate more memory to Studio to see if it could improve the performance. To do: 1- Open the Talend-Studio-win-x86_64.ini file which is located in /. 2- Modify the JVM paramters:-Xms512m-Xmx1536m. 3- Save the file and restart Studio. Regards Shong

Hi @Shicong Hong ,

Is there any waiting time configuration set by default.

Because it is taking exactly same time every time I open the studio.

Thanks

I am sure there is no waiting time parameter for this, I don't have Windows server 2012 for testing, I have tried it on Windows 10 and Windows server 2016, but I can't reproduce the issue. Do you have many jobs in your project now? Have you tried to install a new Studio?

Hi @Shicong Hong ,

I have created only 1 job for testing purpose.

It is giving same issue for all db input components.

I have also tried re-installing but no luck.

Are you suggesting to try on lower versions of TOS DI?

 Thanks

I also tested it on Windows server 2012 with v7.3.1, but I can't reproduce the issue. You can test other version to see if you have the same issue.

Thanks @Shicong Hong for your valuable time.

Will try other versions. Whenever I will get rid of the issue I will post it here.
