setVariable in Data Mapper is not working in Talend 7.3.1

Hi guys.

I have been using Talend Studio 7.2 and In Data Mapper I used the setVariable in the util tab to store a value from incoming field to be used latter on in the structure. It worked fine. I upgraded to Talend 7.3.1 and now when I do the same thing  the following error is thrown. 

Below is the example map I did that throws the error. The incoming and outgoing files and flat files.. 

It only throws error when you set variable to incoming field but if you set it to a constant it works.

Has anybody else came across the same problem?
