Ideation Guidelines: The Review Process

Once your idea has been submitted, it can go through many statuses and updates as part of the review. Here is an overview of the Product Management review process and the life cycle of an idea.

New feedback:

New -> Under Review -> Reviewed 

• All feedback starts in an “New” status and will receive an initial review from product management using AI-driven triage tools.
• Feedback may be linked to an existing idea, have an idea created and linked to it, or be left open for a certain time. 
• PMs may comment on the feedback or add additonal context. 
• Feedback may be marked as "Reviewed" or kept "New" and may not have a comment attached. 

Ideas:

• Ideas are created by the product manager in a New status and posted to the Ideation portal to collect more feedback. 
• Many different feedback items, like submissions from the portal but also including feedback from many different conversations, collection tools, and integrated systems can be linked to a single idea or multiple ideas.
• Comments, votes, and "importance" can be added to any idea. 
• Ideas can be linked internally to Jira issues when they are on roadmap or in development
• Eligible Qlik Community members may vote and comment on the Ideas.

Existing Ideas

• Product Management also reviews the existing ideas every 10 weeks
  • Open “Hot Ideas” and “Top Ideas” are reviewed for a strategic fit every planning cycle.
  • The “On Roadmap” and "In Development” ideas are reviewed every product release cycle.
• Product Management updates and documents statuses as necessary.
• Eligible Qlik Community members may vote and comment on the Ideas.
