Connection Error: Configure update repositories

When trying to set the Update repository for Talend Studio 8, I get the error: Connection Error, and nothing else. This occurs with the default settings:

I have tried adding the certificate for the website to my cacerts file in my java folder but this doesn't solve the issue.

Any thoughts or ideas on how I can go about getting more details to aid in diagnosis or how to get this working?
