Excel Component FilePath Not Working

Cannot move past step 1 in the excel component. Error, "Filepath must be specified." Using latest version of Talend.

Are you able to search for the file on the local host or a LAN host to define your filepath?

Hi Sabrina,

Thanks for getting back with me. Unfortunately, no. For some reason I cannot search for the file, either. Not sure what to do... I uninstalled Talend, and reinstalled the newest version, and it's still not working.

Are you using talend open studio for data integration 7.1.1? What's your OS and JDK version are you using?

Any error message in log?

To show the Error Log view on the tab system, go to Window > Show views, then expand the General node and select Error Log.

I've been using Talend without issue for two plus years. Never had this issue. Yes, using version 7.1.1, Windows 10, jdk 1.8.0_171. Beyond the issue with the Excel component, the error message is: 

"Caused by: java.io.IOException: Zip bomb detected! The file would exceed the max. ratio of compressed file size to the size of the expanded data. This may indicate that the file is used to inflate memory usage and thus could pose a security risk. You can adjust this limit via ZipSecureFile.setMinInflateRatio() if you need to work with files which exceed this limit. Counter: 14749545, cis.counter: 147456, ratio: 0.00999732534122239Limits: MIN_INFLATE_RATIO: 0.01

Hi Sabrina,

Any update? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the application and the Excel component still doesn't work... Even for the free version, I feel like this should work... any ideas?
