,Help with TalendStudio 8.1 GitHub Branches Not Displaying After Login

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to set up TalendStudio 8.1 (not the newest version) on my local machine, using JDK and Talend files provided by a team member in my company. Here’s the situation:

  1. I downloaded and installed TalendStudio 8.1.
  2. I generated a Talend Cloud token at Talend Cloud Access Tokens, pasted it during setup, and I can see the list of available GitHub repositories in Talend.
  3. When I click on a repository, a popup for Git credentials appears, where I enter my GitHub username and a Personal Access Token (generated at GitHub Personal Access Tokens).
  4. After trying to log in, there is no error message, but when I attempt to select a branch from the repository, only a blank list of branches appears.
  5. If I try to log in again, the same GitHub credentials popup shows up, and after several attempts, it returns me to the same project list with no branches available.

I’ve tried the process multiple times, but I’m stuck because no error message appears, and I cannot select a branch.

  • Is there something wrong with the token generation process I’m using for GitHub and Talend?
  • Should I be doing something differently to authenticate or load branches correctly?
  • Has anyone else encountered this issue with TalendStudio 8.1 and GitHub?

Any help or suggestions on what to do next would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

It looks like the Studio has some issue to access the Git Server to retrieve this list, which makes it empty.

Please take a look at this article to troubleshoot access to Git server.
