INVALID : commandPort or FileTransferPort is misconfigured

Hi Talend Community,

I am new to Talend and setting up the training VM based on the Training exercises provided by Talend and need help on the below issue.Talend Job Server error.JPG

I am stuck on the Job Server configuration and seems to be pretty straight forward configuration but for some reason the TAC is not able to communicate with the Job Server.

Below are the steps i followed and the error message i am receiving.

  1. Login to TAC as Operator User.
  2. Add a new Job Server (Conductor > Servers).
  3. Provided the Lablel, Host Server, Command Port, File transfer port, Monitoring port. (as mentioned in the TalendJobServer.properties file).
  4. Save the configuration.
  5. After checking the status of the Job Server the below error message is displayed
  6. INVALID : commandPort or FileTransferPort is misconfigured
  7. I have verified the port numbers are not in use on the server.

Regards,

Swapnil Hoderkar

The issue was resolved with the help of Talend Support.

Root cause was the job service was not running on the training VM. Started it using the script "start_jobserver.bat" located under "Talend\7.0.1\jobserver".
