Nexus not accessible remotely

I am configuring nexus as part of Talend Administration Server on a VM and trying to access it from my laptop. The installation was successful. I am able to access it when I am on the VM however when I access it through my laptop I am not able to access it. I have verified the port and IP of the VM is open and accessible as I am able to run other services of Talend Administration remotely. Its just Nexus that is not accessible when I try it as http://<ip address>:8081 

can someone help if I am missing any configuration setting to access nexus remotely.

My nexus.properties file looks as below:
