Not able to edit any jobs / see any pallete in Talend Open Studio 8.0.1

Hi,

I am very new to Talend, just trying it out and running the first Tutorial.

I am on 8.0.1 version and using JRE Semeru\jre-11.0.18.10-openj9 to run the Open Studio.

It runs good, I can create a project and create a job. The problem is in the Designer view I cannot edit anything. Pallete is also empty.

I tried to check the installed JRE in Preferences --> Java --> Installed JRE. This view also does not open, gives error.

Similar issue are was reported by someone last year and it was advised to take the lower version of Talend 7.3 from sourceforge. But start 2022/12, the only place to download is from Talend site and it does not let select any prior versions.

Please advise how to fix 8.0.1 or get the older version of Talend Open Studio.

Hello @Mukesh Verma​ ,

The JRE Semeru\jre-11.0.18.10 is not in the list of supported jdks for talend studio 8.

Please switch to Oracle JDK 11 or OpenJDK 11 as instead
