Removing Exchange (obsolete) components

OK, this has got to be simple but I've messed around for an hour trying to figure it out.

See attached screen capture. I have two versions of various Talend Exchange components installed into my Talend 7.3 Open Studio.

How do I remove the older no longer needed version?

I'm getting an error on trying to run and Google search tells me that is typically when I have two different versions installed....

thank you!

Hi

Which component you have installed? Did you install the component manually like introducing in this page? or you install them within studio? Open the user component folder which is configured in Preferences-->Talend-->Component, and check if the component folder is there .

Hello,

You could need to remove the component folder, normally, the component is put into the directory:

<TOS installation dir>\plugins\org.talend.designer.components.localprovider_x.x.x.rxxxxxx\components

And the custom component folder is a dedicated component directory where you store all your custom components.

Best regards

Sabrina

Certainly the newer one were installed withing studio. The old ones... perhaps manually.

I see why I have problems - Preferences is easily found on the MacOSX version, but I can't get to that window in the 7.3.3 Linux version.

Some more information -

I installed a fresh v7.4.1

When I go into the Exchange from TOS and I see both tGoogleSheet components version 3.0, 4.1, and 4.2 --- I say install 4.2 ... and once done it shows that all 3 versions are now installed. Bug?

@Bryan LaPlante , I think this page show that the version of component you have installed in the past or now, not that you have three versions installed at the same time.

If you have any trouble or problems to use the component, can you please open a new question to describe it? we will see what's the problem and what we could suggest.
