Delaying a community build by over 18-20 months (since the 7.3.1 build - 20200219) means loads of security patches missing from the daily users of Talend OpenStudio. It opens up a can of worms. Not many companies can opt for the Milestone releases due to bugs in their production pipeline. I feel Talend should provide some hot-fixes to TOS until GA is made available - Purely from a security perspective.
I am not sure what the real motivation is - trying to push people to upgrade to the paid version which has continuous hot fixes/ updates keeping it up-to-date or something more sinister?
I have been a TOS user from V5. I don't remember so much delays ever in GA release.
This is very odd decision to be honest.
PS: This is just a rant from a long time user. No offence to anyone!
R&D have recently started working in a different way to maximise our ability to deliver across all of our product range. This has meant a slight shift in release windows.
