Hello,
I installed Talend 7.2.1, yet I am still unable to use it (after 3 days !!!)
I cant even connect to my local mysql server ( mysql connector was installed by default in earlier versions )
yet Talend is installing an amazing amount of zillion tons of libs
I opened it today, 15%, taking its time....
- the installer (>700mb!!) : can't it at least include the most common/basic connectors ? like SQL/Mysql ?
- why can't I at least select the libs to install in the modules view ?
- why is the additional software such a huge monolithic bundle loaded with stuffs people wont probably use ?
- when accepting licences, one dont even have any choice of what to install, nor any idea what license is related to what module
Hello,
What's your OS and JDK version are you using? Have you already checked this online documentations about:TalendHelpCenter:Compatible Operating Systems and TalendHelpCenter:Compatible Java Environments?
More information will be helpful for us to address your issue.
Best regards
Sabrina

@Phil_R4T5Y6U7 , I am sorry to see that you have a bad experiences with the latest product 7.2.1, it may because your network is poor now, this causes you to take a long time to install all the required modules and fails, you can stop the installation process and then try to install the modules from Module view. see below
Please try and let me know if you are able to install the Mysql connector.
Regards
Shong
same problem
"network unavailable, please fix it" I dont understand, it could download other modules (I guess)
this popup clearly checks the available modules online, so network is working
SOLUTION : I downloaded the connector on official mysql web site and installed it in the popup showing error
Hi
If the network is unavailable or the module is unavailable for download, you can download the jar file from internet and then import the jar manually from local machine in Module view, see below.

Shong
[edit: finaly I found the god damned libraries
cant believe so many people have network issues and this is not documented somewhere]
yes, but I can't find the jars in the maven repository
here I tried to do a lookup with tMap, I get errors : jboss serialization and trove are missing
And I cant find them on the maven site, not the talend libraries at least
