Third party plugins

Hello community,

I used to develope my own plugins to add some funcionalities to Talend. I just used to add my plugin (jar file) into the plugin's folder and it contributed fine adding my own menus for example but it's not working anymore since Talend migrated to 7.2. Could somebody give a hand with it?

Hello,

Modifying Talend studio (even by adding plugins) is absolutely not allowed by the license and unsupported. What's third-party or custom plugins are trying to add to talend? We don't want to facilitate installation of some Eclipse plugins like SVN in Talend Open Studio.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hello,

Please don't misunderstand me. I'm not trying to modify Talend code. Your tool works perfect for me and it does what is supose to do with great results. I just want to add my own contributions for my own use to facilitate the actions I usually do with it in function to earn some time. In this case I am the third party and my own customer.

Hi Sabrina,

does your comment apply to TOS-DI or only to the Talend paid products. I mean, TOS is Open Source by definition and, as such, everybody has access to the source code and modify it at need. Then, I'm also assuming that if I'd like to sell the modified TOS (with my plugins) I could do it, provided I still abide to the license (Apache 2.0) you have. Am I right/wrong?
