i think i just need to update to version 8
how do i get hold of the installation files?
Are you using Talend Cloud or an on-premises solution? This looks like someone else in your organisation has upgraded their Studio and has upgraded the project. If you are on Talend Cloud, you can download the Studio from TMC. If you are on-premises, it's probably easier for you to find the person who has upgraded and get the URL from them. They will have been sent it.
Hi Rhell
Yes im using on-prem (open studio). I realise that this has been done in an upgraded version, the colleague has since left the company, hence the reason for needing a link to download the latest version of Talend open studio

I see. There is only one way you can achieve this in Talend Open Studio. You will need to download version 8. You can get it from here....
https://www.talend.com/products/talend-open-studio/
I’ve been to that page many times but I cant see where to download it from.
I see the download now button which I clicked on.
That takes me to a page to fill in a form.
I fill in the form and it says the details will be sent to me in an email
The email I received was from the sales team trying to sell me something else.
They pointed me in the direction of logging it on the community portal.
I’ve gone full circle. Sorry to sound frustrated.

Hi Adam,
I am so sorry that this has caused such frustration. Would you be able to email me so that I can help you with this offline? I will send you a private message in the Community with my email address. I will be able to sort this out for you, but need to fully understand what has gone wrong (I'll need a copy of the email you were sent, etc).
I will keep an eye on my inbox so that I can respond asap and get you going with this.
Once again, sorry about this process. This is NOT how we intend this to work.
Regards
Richard
