is IDP Authentication Plugin required?

Hi all,

I have to activate SSO in talend TAC using our entreprise identity provider system. The owner of this application only gave me the idp metadata file (xml file). Is it sufficient or do i have to fill in the IDP Authentication Plugin field too (is it mandatory) ?
