"Usermode Font Driver Host" blocks application with high CPU load when switching tabs in properties panel
Hi Community,
I'm struggling with some strange behavior when using Talend Open Studio for Data Integration (7.1.1.20181026_1147).
Whenever I switch from one tab to another in the properties pane at the bottom, the application is blocked for 15 - n seconds and the "Usermode Font Driver Host" process in task manager shows around 25 % load. I assume the 25 % come from one core at full load.
Does anyone have had the same experience and know how to solve that problem?
Best regards
Sascha

Hi Brain,
There can be various reasons for that. But if we discard any external software issues and consider the problem solely in the context of this program, then in my opinion, the data backup process may be the reason. Very often, such a security mechanism is implemented that when the program reaffirms a signal that the user is changing the elements of the program (it can be tab switching, switching to a sub-window and even calling the context menu), the data backup process is automatically started and accordingly it may cause blocking or loading. The way out of this situation is to check the settings of the program, when the backup process is underway and then to adjust the settings, if possible, for example to put manual saving (but accordingly, the probability of data loss increases). If the developer did not implement this option, then you can just try to increase the power of the computer running this program.
