End users see an error or warning when accessing the site. Such any of the following:
The site's security certificate is not trusted
This Connection is Untrusted
This connection is not private
This site is not secure
Environment:
- Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows, all versions
Cause:
Qlik Sense creates a self-signed certificate for out-of-the box use of https, and therefore untrusted by client computers.
Resolution:

This is not an error, but a warning that the self-signed certificate deployed by the Sense installation is trusted.
Either:
- Purchase and deploy a trusted third party certificate from a trusted authority
- Roll out a domain signed certificate the clients trust, or
- Have the self-signed certificate trusted in the domain's root CA authority
