In case your task is facing latency and the PERFORMANCE log records point that the problem is in Teradata target endpoint please check the following configuration setting that may affect/improve performance:
Under task setting --> Change Processing --> Change Processing Tuning - make sure that taks is set to work in bulk apply mode: Change Processing Mode: Batch optimized apply
In case you see a lot of transactions accumulated on disk you can consider changing the parameters for "Apply batched changes in intervals:" (Under task setting --> Change Processing --> Change Processing Tuning ) I) Increasing the value for "Longer than". II) Increasing the value for "Force apply a batch when processing memory exceeds (MB):"
Replicate is using Teradata TPT to load the data to the target. Under the Teradata endpoint --> advanced tab setting:
Make sure that Bufer size is set to 64 (the maximum)
Buffers: You can enter any value from 2 or higher. (more buffers will increase performance, if a lot of data is uploaded.
Explicit sessions range: Select this if you want set a minimum and/or maximum number of sessions that can log on to the Teradata Database.Maximum: The maximum number of sessions that can log on to the Teradata Database. The default value is 1. The value cannot be higher than the number of Access Module Processors (AMPs) available. Minimum: The minimum number of sessions that can log on to the Teradata Database.
