Qlik Sense Business and Enterprise SaaS: App Size, Storage Size and Size for Data File

This article explains what the maximum size for App, Storage, and Data File uploaded to Workspace and Data File attached to the app are for Qlik Sense Business and Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS.

If you are looking to compare other features between Qlik Sense Business and Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS, see Compare product features and also Help> SaaS editions of Qlik Sense>Specifications.

Environment:

  • Qlik Sense Business edition
  • Qlik Sense Enterprise on Cloud Services edition

Note: When uploading Apps via Cloud Hub, the maximum size of the App is of 1GB.  After uploaded size may increase up to the limits below. App size includes attached data files and data. For more information see Uploading apps to the cloud hub

Reference: Pricing

Qlik Sense Business:

  • App size limit (in memory): 1.25GB

Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS:

  • App size limit (in memory): 5.0GB

Total data storage is limited to 250 GB for Qlik Sense Business and unlimited for Qlik Sense Enterprise on Cloud Services, while the quota measured during reloading set to 1.25 GB for Qlik Sense Business and 5.0 GB for Qlik Sense Enterprise on Cloud Services. The logic being an app on disk is typically 4-6 times bigger in memory, although this is a rule of thumb and exceptions can and do occur, and an app within the "on-disk" size limit may balloon past the "in memory" limit.

Hi, I think this post should be updated to reflect new caps for file upload

Thank you, @Clever_Anjos, for the input. I'll revise it accordingly.

So are there no limits on QVD size any more just a total storage limit (or not if you're on Enterprise)?
