Tasks are not being executed as expected, even if enough free engines should be available.

In the QlikView Management Console and task overview, a task is shown as Queued:

In the QlikView Distribution Service LoadBalancer_ log file, the following lines may be written:

Information    LoadMeasurer: The system is currently overloaded.
Information    LoadMeasurer: The system is not overloaded anymore.

Resolution:

QlikView includes an overload protection feature to its Distribution Service. This allows for task queues. It also introduced a queue system, which will allow for automatic staggering of scheduled tasks to prevent resource starvation on the host system. See CPU and Memory settings to prevent overload in QlikView Distribution Service (QDS).

Queued tasks lead to chained events not triggering. Can tasks be prioritized?

I have seen tasks going into queue even when the memory and CPU are pretty much free on the server.

The load balancer log file is wrongly showing "The system is currently overloaded"
