Can't upload or delete files from/to a Data Space in Qlik Sense SaaS hub

It is not possible to upload or delete data files from/to a data space from the analytics hub.

Resolution

This is a current limitation by design. All data space content should be managed only in the Data Integration hub. Due to defect QB-6284 it was temporarily possible to upload content to dataspaces from the hub, but that has been fixed.
If, for some reasons, it is necessary to delete content that was uploaded, these five easy steps can be followed:

  1. go the Management Console
  2. go to Spaces
  3. choose the data space and select "Manage Members"
  4. a new window opens.
  5. Change the URL from https://TENANT.RG.qlikcloud.com/qdi/data/SPACE-ID/members to https://TENANT.RG.qlikcloud.com/explore/spaces/SPACE-ID/data to be able to delete the files there

I have some issues with uploading data to a data space using the Qlik Data Transfer tool. Is this due to the same restrictions? As you mention that content should be managed only in the data integration hub. Uploading files to a personal space is working.

That is correct. Data spaces are only meant to be used in conjunction with Hybrid Data Delivery and not using the Qlik Data Transfer tool.
