Reload task for binary loaded app

Hello everyone,

I am publishing an app A from Qlik Sense to Qlik Cloud which is located in a managed space in Qlik Cloud. Additionally, I have an app B in Qlik Cloud that refers to this app A and is loaded binary from app A. I want to create a reload task for app B that every time app A is refreshed in Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud app B is reloaded. 

Is this possible?

Are you able to binary load a Qlik Sense on-prem application distributed in Qlik Cloud? If so, how? Are you using the distribution services or something else?

you can do it with Automate.
You start the automation on a Webhook once the distributed app is updated.

Hi Mark,

I am using the app distribution service to publish the Qlik Sense apps to the Qlik Cloud. Within the Qlik Cloud I have a new app that loads data from the published Qlik Sense app binary.

Following @Daniele_Purrone instructions, I was able to create a Qlik Automation to respond when a Distributed App is reloaded.

Do Reload will be the next logical block to add, as suggested by @Daniele_Purrone but, I could not make the binary load to work in Qlik Cloud - that is the only missing link for me 🙂

the app you want to do the binary load from needs to be within a space in Qlik Cloud. We tried to do a binary load from a published app at the beginning as well, that was not published / moved to a space and this didn't work. So we once defined the space where the published app from Qlik Sense should be located and the you can do the binary load.

I see, the app was in a staged area, so moving to a Managed Space made the App ID available for Binary Load. It is all working on my side now. Thank you both!
