Sharing Apps in a Managed Space

I have a business critical situation and need to know how to fix this.  I have a space with 26 apps.  I am trying to apply security at the app level.  There are 27 AD groups that have access to these apps with different combinations.  for example:

App1 = ADgroup1, ADgroup2, ADgroup3

App2 = ADgroup1, ADgroup4

and so on and so on.  i started to apply security and ran into this

i do not have 30 groups yet and i was able to add all the various groups to other apps.  it just stopped me halfway through my list.  How do I get around this?

Hi @micahsakata ,

I think it is reading each group every time it goes through the security list, then you're having the 30+ groups.

I see some options as workaround:

- create separate Managed Spaces for each group, and publish the apps in these spaces according to the security you've listed.

- create new groups in AD according to the apps to be accessed.

- Create managed spaces by "App permission", adding the corresponding groups to the space.

Of course, these are not the only options, but working with all of the groups in one space with this level of security you mentioned, I don't believe it's going to fit the limitations in QCS.

I hope this helps.

Hi @micahsakata

If the workaround by @AnaSilva (thank you Anna!) does not work for you please do start a support request if you haven't already done so.

Kind regards...
