After restart QlikSense Services or reboot the Server or installing Update i can not connect to Qliksense QMC or HUB

Hi,

I have a Problem with installing Qlik Sense and need Help.

I installed Qlik Sense Feb21 on a new Windows Server 2016 Datacenter.

all security on the Server is turned off.

Defender deactivated

Proxy deactivated

Firewall deactivated

after installation is finished i can connect to QMC an applying the License (but only with LEF-file)

telnet to license.clikcloud.com Port 443 shows open

No Tasks or Monitoring Apps are available.

after restart Qlik Sense Services or reboot the Server i can not access to QMC or HUB

Qlik Sense utilitys shows all Ports blocked.

no acces over IP, hostname or localhost.

are there any issues with Windows Security Updates?

What can i do?

Hello, 

According to the logs there seems to be some communication issue between the repository service and the license service (The one installed on your machine and managed by the dispatcher service)

Are you running any Internet Proxy? You can check that by logging on the server as the Qlik Sense Service account, open Internet Explorer -> Setting -> Internet Option -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Disable any check box -> Restart the Qlik Sense services.

Hello,

 

there ist no Internet Proxy running.

 

all Checkboxes are disabled.

no Proxy

no Defender

no Antivirus

no Firewall

In that case I would suggest to open a ticket to Qlik Support for a deeper analysis.

I find the below error in logs attached:

Solution:

You need internet to generate the LEF file information.

If you don't have a internet connection you could either try to generate the LEF file from the Manual LEF-generator‌ or contact Qlik support to create the LEF information for you.

Hello,

i have Internet Connection.

an telnet to license.clikcloud.com Port 443 works.

but on licence activation i become Error Message "503 Failed to contact the license server"

i applied the Licence then with manual LEF.

but after reboot or restert the Service i con alway not connect to QMC or HUB

Hey,

in my Case  the Problem was , that unsigned PS-scripts are not allowed.

QlikSense use unsigned Powershell scripts. if there are not allowed the Configuration of the PostgrSQL DB fails without Errors. DB ist Empty!

I uninstall Qliksense complet

Set a Registry Key to Allow unsigned PS-Scripts

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell]
"EnableScripts"=dword:00000001
"ExecutionPolicy"="ByPass"

And reinstall QlikSense

 

now its working
