Controlling User Access

Good morning everyone,

I'm new to the QS environment and I need to control who has access to what QVD's when they create data connections.  Here's a good example of what I'm trying to do.  I have 2 users in our marketing department who should not have access to HR data, but they can see anything else.  I have built a file structure where the main folder is QVD and under it are all the subfolders like Sales, Contracts, Financials and HR.

Hi @tmumaw!, What i have seen in some deployments, is that you can create more than one data connection, and each one can be very specific folder/subfolder, for just the final subfolder containing the data available for each user or groups of users or departments.

And you can apply some security in the folders and files directly, to assign who users can see that qvds.

And finally, you should take a look about security rules, a very important feature in Qlik Sense :
