Filter Pane:no layout options multiple columns?

I am trying to use some filter panes to help better target a heat map.

However, the filter panes do not seem to have the option to adjust layout such as font size or number of columns, etc...

Is there anyway to show X columns instead of just one?

For example if I have a filter pane of two letter state abbreviations it would be much better to have 5 columns of two letter state abbreviations rather than a single column of all 50 states.

Thoughts or options on how I can adjust this?

Please increase the height of filter pane that will help you.. for increasing u can drag the filter pane

I am also looking for a way to display a filter pane horizontally.  In QlikView you could use multiple columns.  This option doesn't seem to exist for QlikSense.

Replying here,  5 years later, this feature still does not appear to exist. Pretty basic, and was in QlikView, of which QlikSense was supposed to replace.
