Find Quarter to current date vs previous Quarter to date same as year and Month.

Hi All,

I have 3 years of data like 2019,2020,2021

requirement is :

1.YTD Values  vs Previous YTD Values

to date is 31-Aug-2021  

I want to display the YTD Sales Value is ---- 30-Aug-2021 Sum(Sales) Value.(1-Jan-2021 to 30-Aug-2021 Sum Value)

Previous YTD Values is ---- 30 -Aug-2020 Sum(Sales) Value  means 1-Jan-2020 to 30-Aug-2020 Sum(Sales) Value.

If Date is Sept-10-2021  --- YTD value is ----Sept-9-2021 (Jan-1-2021 to Sept-9-2021)

Previous YTD is ---- Jan-1-2020 to Sept-9-2020 Sum(Sales) values 

2.Current Date vs Previous Date

Today is Aug-31-2021 

O/P is Aug-30-2021

Previous Year current date is  Aug-30-2020

3.Current month vs Previous year of current month

O/P is : 

Current Month : Aug-2021

Previous Current Month is :Aug-2020

4.Quarter to Current date vs Previous year Quarter to current date

O/P : Quarter to current date: If I Select the Q1 , it will display the sales values of Jan-1-2021 to Agu-30-2021

If I select the Q2 ,it will display the Apr-1-2021 to Agu-30-2021 Data

As same as Previous year

Previous : If I Select the Q1 , it will display the sales values of Jan-1-2021 to Agu-30-2021

If I select the Q2 ,it will display the Apr-1-2020 to Agu-30-2020 Data

Please help above requirement.

@Ramu_i  How your calculation should work if you select Year "2020"?

Hi Kushal,

Thanks for replay,

We have filters like Year, Quarter, Month and other filters are there.

If I select the year value in year filter it will display the YTD values , these values are in KPI's.

If I select the Quarter Values, It for Quarter to date current and Previous, Just like as month and date like that.

@Ramu_i  Example which you showed in OP is for current year which is fine. But if you select Year "2020" what will happen to your measure

1) YTD - 2020 & Previous YTD-2019?

2) Current Day & Previous Year Same Day ? Will it be 31-Aug-2021 & 31-Aug-2020 or 31-Aug-2020 & 31-Aug-2019?

3) Current Month & Previous Year Current Month? Will it be Aug-2021 & Aug-2020 or Aug-2020 & Aug-2019?

4) Quarter to current Date & Previous year Quarter to current Date? Will it be Jan-2021 to Aug-2021 & Jan-2020 to Aug-2020 or  Jan-2020 to Aug-2020 & Jan-2019 to Aug-2019?

Hi Kushal,

while opening the dashboard it will display the YTD in KPI's 

1.YTD -2021 : It will display the Jan-1-2021 to Aug-31-2021 Data  at the same thing Previous year 

YTD : Jan-2021 to Agu-2021 

Previous Year YTD : Jan-2020 to Aug-2020

2. Current Day & Previous Year Same Day ? Will it be 31-Aug-2021 & 31-Aug-2020 or 31-Aug-2020 & 31-Aug-2019?

Correct

3. Current Month & Previous Year Current Month? Will it be Aug-2021 & Aug-2020 or Aug-2020 & Aug-2019?  Correct 

4.Quarter to current date vs Quarter to Previous year current date 

Here 4 Tabs are there , YTD, QTD,MTD, Current Date 

If I select the QTD Tab (Menu Bar -Select the QTD option)

It will display the current Quarter -Now Q3 is running ---July -2021 to Sept -2021 data same previous year ---

July-2020 to Sept 2020.

If I select the Q1 -it will display the Jan-2021 to Mar-2021 and Previous Year QTD ---Jan-2020 to Mar-2020

If selected the Q2 - It will display the Apr-2021 to Jun-2021 and Previous Year QTD---Apr-2020 to Jun-2020

If Selected the Q4- It will display the Current QTD blank and Previous Year QTD ---Oct-2020 to Dec-2020
