My current URL uses the
https://<hostname>:5555/data?.....
to send out email alerts.
I want to use a DNS alias name instead of the hostname.
Is it possible?
I get the following error when I try to replace it with the alias.
"Peer certificate cannot be authenticated"
This looks like a certificate issue.
Usually certificate is issued by CA and issued to the url you try to access. If DNS alias name is not accepted, it means the certificate is issued to the hostname only but not the DNS alias name.
Not sure if you can have certificate provider update the certificate to issue to the DNS alias or use wildchar certificate
