Max user on server without performance Issues

Hi,

how many user can Qlik Sense handle without Performance issues?

Soon there will be about 70 Users  using about 4-5 Apps on the same Server. The users are working on the Firefox Browser.

The Server has this System:

31GB RAM

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 v3 @3.4Ghz (2x6 Cores-processors)-->12 Cores Total

Will be this enough or do I need a more powerful Server?

This really depends on size of data. If those apps are rather small (say some 50 MB each), this can be enough. If those apps are a few hundred MB each, then you cetrainly should add RAM.

Qlik Engine loads an app into memory only once, plus adds some user overhead (typically around 10% of app size per user), so if there are 10 concurrent users of a single app, it will consume RAM 2x of its original size in memory. Be carefull though, app size on disk is usually much less then when QS loads it into RAM, so don'ť rely on file size (unless apps are really small).

There's also HW estimator app on Partners portal, if you are a Qlik Partner.

Size of the apps are mostly below 100mb. So it should work.
